UNITED IN CHRIST. WHEN ONE IS SENT, WE ALL GO.
Meet Fathers Jesse Garcia & Viet Nguyen, shepherds bringing sacraments, comfort, & hope to remote villages in Trujillo.
As our medical & dental mission serves urgent physical needs, Fr. Jesse & Fr. Viet, under the guidance of Bishop Jenry, ensure those services are rooted in prayer, reconciliation, & lasting spiritual support.
Read on to learn how their presence in 2026 turns hands that heal into hands that bless & helps build a faith-filled, sustainable future for these communities.
MEET BISHOP JENRY.
During our 2024 mission trip, Bishop Jenry made history by traveling with Fr. Jesse to La Colonia to celebrate Mass & a baptism—the first time a Honduran bishop visited the villages we serve.
We’re thrilled he will return for the 2025 mission to preside at Mass in La Esperancita & La Colonia. His spiritual & practical leadership, together with Father Francisco & the Diocese of Trujillo, strengthens & deepens our partnership & lifts our mission to new levels.
Fostering a spirit where prayer surrounds the work, where charity guides every action, & where each person — missionary & villager alike — recognizes Christ in one another.
DR. MARCO: THE EMOTIONS BEHIND THE MASK.
Behind every stethoscope is a servant's heart. Behind every diagnosis is compassion. And behind every long day on mission is an unwavering commitment to see Christ in those who suffer.
In this moving reflection, Dr. Marco Giannotti shares not only his observations from our 2024 Mission to Honduras, but also his vision for the future—a future where continuity of care extends far beyond the few days our missionaries are present each year.
His words remind us that mission work is not simply about treating illnesses. It is about building relationships, restoring dignity, sharing hope, & answering Christ's call to care for "the least of these."
A GIFT OF WATER, A GIFT OF LOVE.
Water is one of God's greatest gifts—a symbol of faith, hope, & new life. In the remote village of El Mirador, access to safe drinking water was once only a dream. For years, families—especially women & children—walked long distances to collect water, often relying on unsafe sources that impacted their health & well-being. In 2024, that story changed.
Through faith, perseverance, & the collaboration of missionaries, local villagers, engineers, donors, & parish supporters, safe water is now flowing in El Mirador. This remarkable achievement is more than an infrastructure project—it is a living testament to God's provision & the power of Catholic mission work. We invite you to read more about this extraordinary journey.
TRANSFORMATION THROUGH ART.
Sometimes the most powerful lessons of faith are not only spoken—they are created, painted, and shared through loving hands. During our 2024 Mission to Honduras, Vacation Bible School became a place where children & young adults discovered God's love through creativity, transforming simple crafts into lasting lessons of faith, hope, & community.
From colorful Bible-themed projects & joyful face painting to a beautiful mural, art became a bridge to the Gospel plus a source of confidence, belonging, & spiritual growth. What began as hands-on activities blossomed into something much greater: transformed hearts & a lasting reminder of Christ's love. We invite you to discover how creativity became ministry.
