Each year, on the next-to-last Sunday of October, Catholics around the world unite in celebrating World Mission Sunday—a powerful reminder that through our Baptism, we are all called to share in Christ's mission.
The 2026 celebration holds special significance as the Catholic Church commemorates the 100th anniversary of World Mission Sunday, established by Pope Pius XI in 1926. This year's theme, "One in Christ, United in Mission," invites every member of the faithful to deepen our unity with Christ & with one another as we proclaim the Gospel throughout the world.
World Mission Sunday is an opportunity to:
🙏 Pray for missionaries serving around the globe.
📖 Learn about the Church's mission in communities where the Gospel is still being proclaimed & lived.
⛪ Participate fully in the Eucharist.
❤️ Support the Society for the Propagation of the Faith through generous giving, helping sustain Catholic missions in areas of great need.
