STAOP Food Bread Pantry Partnership.

When a local family is going through a difficult financial crisis or other obstacles, food is often the first necessity they seek. This became more evident when the world was challenged by COVID-19. STAOP’s Food Bread Pantry’s wish is to provide easy access to nutritional food for the economically disadvantaged, under-served populations in our area.

With the 2021 Honduras Mission trip postponed, our mission team certainly had some extra time to spare in order to lend a helping hand once again to our sister outreach program. During the week prior to the holiday, we came together to serve families with a Thanksgiving box that included the traditional courses a family enjoys from a turkey to a pumpkin pie. This year the children of the families that donated boxes surprised us with beautiful designs which made the volunteers as well as the recipients smile!

After everything was said and done for 2021, the Food Bread Pantry helped over 1,500 families rejoice in an incredibly special Thanksgiving meal with their loved ones.

For ongoing support, food can be donated in the bins located to the left of the church front doors under the breezeway at any time. Monetary donations will help us purchase fresh produce, meat and bulk nonperishable items at a greatly reduced cost.

Special thanks to everyone who played a part in making this 2021 Thanksgiving project a success!
