Who doesn’t love tacos?
Our Taco Sunday Fundraiser event for 2021 was a grande success! The Mission ended up selling over 800 tacos and 100 bags of coffee plus clay crosses and jars of hot sauce. The coffee was very popular as it is actually grown at the agricultural high school in Honduras that our Mission supports.
Proceeds from all Taco Event sales totaled $5,100.00 plus another $1,500.00 from “tips/donations” for a grand total of $6,600.00.
We also had two very special guests that joined us for this event all the way from Honduras - Bishop Sole & Father Gildo. Our St. Anthony parishioners enjoyed greeting them and getting to know more about our mission goals as well as the communities that we serve!
What made this event so special was the ability to reconnect with our fellow missionaries. Working side-by-side, yet adhering to safe COVID protocols, we enjoyed the freedom to come together for a common goal. Smiles and laughter were at an all-time high!
