Mission Update for 2021
Our Core Team has been active since we sent out the survey in March about interest in our 2021 mission during late September. Our challenge is that we need to wait a few more weeks for guidance from the Archdiocese about mission trips.
The good news is that we continue to provide significant financial support and prayers for the villages that we serve with big plans for Taco Sunday and a second collection on May 16th.
Responses to our March survey included about 30 missionaries who said that they are interested in going on mission to Honduras the week of September 18th-25th. Frankly, we were surprised by this number given our very tight safety requirements that included vaccinations, wearing face masks, implementation of biosafety protocols and social distancing while in Honduras.
Our next step was to consult with local and Honduran experts about the feasibility of doing a full mission (e.g. medical, dental, VBS, etc.) or a "mini" mission with limited services. We have this information now.
Our last step is waiting on guidance from the Archdiocese which they hope to provide in the next few weeks. Thanks for your patience.
